Riigi Kinnisvara AS (State Real Estate Ltd or RKAS) has entered into an agreement with Merko Elamu AS to build a new court and police building for the city of Jõgeva.
Due to be completed next summer and containing more than 2,000 square metres net space, the building will house a courthouse, Land Registration Department, Citizenship and Migration Board, parole and probation services, and police and house of detention, State Real Estate Ltd told BNS. Parking areas and new landscaping along with street lights will be built along Suur and Pargi streets in Jõgeva. The preliminary project for building to be erected on the Suur Street 1 plot in expanded form was compiled by AS Amhold. RKAS held a tender to find a developer for the Suur Street 1 plot. Under the terms of the tender, right of superficies will be established for the builder and a lease will be signed for use of the buildings and the grounds. Five companies participated in the last tender round, with Merko Elamu AS tendering the best bid.
