The best of different worlds

Martin has always liked the Raadi area in Tartu for its combination of the finest elements from different worlds – natural surroundings boasting lush greenery and numerous parks, coupled with cultural events at the nearby Estonian National Museum. Additionally, Tartu Town Hall Square is just a 30-minute walk away. According to Martin, Merko’s Erminurme Quarter is a new, rapidly developing, peaceful and safe area where the hum of traffic is replaced by the melody of birdsong.

Bold and deep tones bring character

In furnishing their home, Martin’s family aimed to create a modern, timeless and stylish living space. To infuse their home with a bold and distinctive style, they opted for a decor featuring brighter and darker colours. Martin also experimented with custom-made solutions, contributing to an eye-catching, well-rounded aesthetic with practical functionality. Additionally, the home features integrated lighting solutions to enhance the cosy and pleasant ambience during the dark months of the year.

Every element carefully weighed

According to Martin, the most challenging aspect of creating their home was envisioning the apartment as a whole while selecting each detail. Ensuring the items in the apartment remain contemporary and practical in the near future was a crucial factor since changing things later due to shifting trends or lack of use can be both tedious and expensive. Interior architect Maarja Mets helped furnish the apartment. With the benefit of her expertise, the result is something special enough to satisfy everyone.
